Initial coefficients of starlike functions with real coefficients
The sharp bounds for the third and fourth coefficients of Ma-Minda starlike functions having fixed second coefficient are determined. These results are proved by using certain constraint coefficient problem for functions with positive real part whose coefficients are real and the first coefficient is kept fixed. Analogous results are obtained for a general class of close-to-convex functions
متن کاملCoefficients of Univalent Functions
The interplay of geometry and analysis is perhaps the most fascinating aspect of complex function theory. The theory of univalent functions is concerned primarily with such relations between analytic structure and geometric behavior. A function is said to be univalent (or schlichi) if it never takes the same value twice: f(z{) # f(z2) if zx #= z2. The present survey will focus upon the class S ...

for some α (0≤α< 1). We say that f(z) is in the class ∑C(α) of such functions. The class ∑∗(α) and various other subclasses of ∑ have been studied rather extensively by Nehari and Netanyahu [9], Clunie [4], Pommerenke [11, 12], Miller [7], Royster [13], and others (cf., e.g., Bajpai [2], Goel and Sohi [6], Mogra et al. [8], Uralegaddi and Ganigi [15], Cho et al. [3], Aouf [1], and Uralegaddi an...
متن کاملPower Series with Integral Coefficients
Let f(z) be a function, meromorphic in \z\ < 1 , whose power series around the origin has integral coefficients. In [5], Salem shows that if there exists a nonzero polynomial p(z) such that p(z)f(z) is in H, or else if there exists a complex number a, such that l/(f(z)—a) is bounded, when |JS| is close to 1, then f(z) is rational. In [2], Chamfy extends Salem's results by showing that if there ...
